Invisalign

Invisalign is a clear, custom-made aligner, used to move and align teeth for better health and a great smile. It is changed approximately every two weeks for about six to 18 months, depending upon the severity of misalignment.

Dental Hygiene

Dental cleaning is a preventative procedure performed by dentists or dental hygienists to maintain or achieve optimum oral health. In a dental cleaning procedure, the dentist aims to remove the dental plaque and tartar that have accumulated on the teeth to protect them from cavities or dental caries as well as other tooth and gum problems. While teeth cleaning can be done at home using a toothbrush, toothpaste, and dental floss, each person still needs a deeper, more thorough cleaning that only a dentist can provide. This is because regular brushing and flossing cannot completely remove plaque and tartar that tend to stick to the surface of the teeth.

Porcelain Fillings

Porcelain fillings are also called “inlays” or “on lays”, they are the only available dental material that is mercury-free, metal-free, and BPA-free. It is a much stronger and durable material that allows for maximum esthetic and functional results.

Implants

During surgery to place the dental implant, your oral surgeon makes a cut to open your gum and expose the bone. Holes are drilled into the bone where the dental implant metal post will be placed. Since the post will serve as the tooth root, it's implanted deep into the bone.

Bridges

The dental bridge procedure is a restorative dental treatment to replace missing teeth. The bridge fills the gap in the mouth between healthy teeth or dental implants on either side to restore both the function and appearance of teeth.

Teeth Whitening

Tooth "whitening" is defined as any process that will make teeth appear whiter. There are two ways this is commonly done: bleaching and non-bleaching whitening products. Often the terms "bleaching" and "whitening" are used interchangeably, but the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) states the term "bleaching" can only be used when a product contains bleach. A product is considered simply "whitening" when it removes food or debris from the teeth without bleach.

Bleaching products contain peroxide (hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide) and these products remove both surface and deep stains on teeth and can cause teeth to become even lighter than their natural shade.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are made in a laboratory and then bonded on the teeth. With composite resin, the dentist layers the resin onto each tooth. Porcelain veneer procedures often require two separate visits. During the first appointment, the dentist trims a tiny amount of enamel off the teeth.

Crowns

Your dentist will file down and remove part of the outer layer of the tooth. An impression will be made of your trimmed tooth and the surrounding teeth. The dentist will put a temporary crown over your tooth to protect it. They send the impression to a lab that makes the crown. This step may take several weeks.

Dentures

Your dentist will typically extract your posterior (back) teeth first. The extraction area will then be allowed to heal for approximately 4 to 8 weeks. After the area has healed, your dentist will make an impression of your mouth and order an immediate denture from that impression.

Root Canal

A root canal is performed when the endodontist removes the infected pulp and nerve in the root of the tooth, cleans and shapes the inside of the root canal, then fills and seals the space. Afterward, your dentist will place a crown on the tooth to protect and restore it to its original function.

HAPPY CLIENTS
"Our family has visited Dr. Shaye and it has been a wonderful experience! The staff are warm and friendly, and always greet you with a smile. On the few occasions when we have had a dental emergency, they have been very accommodating. When our children were younger they were treated with patience and kindness during their very first dental appointments. We can honestly say they look forward to their dental visits."
"Dr. Shaye has always been warm and professional. We look forward to many more years with Dr. Shaye and his wonderful staff."
Danielle Hudson
“Mary and I want to express our appreciation to Dr. Shaye and his terrific staff for the outstanding services you provide. It is a pleasure to walk into an office where one is greeted cheerfully, treated with respect and warm professionalism. Of course, every professional office should be that way, but we all know they are not...."

"If you wonder why this Dental Office is so special that we, then give them a call-walk in and experience that wonderful, warm welcome!"
"So, we write this note to thank you and your staff for the excellent services you provide."

"P.S. Oh, incidentally they really do “good dental work” too.”
Philip Cruz
“I’ve always had to have a lot of dental work done – even as a pre-schooler. So going to the dentist used to be my least favorite thing to do. But one day, I had a medical emergency. My dentist was busy and asked me to see another dentist. From that time on. Dr. Shaye has been my dentist."
"Dr. Shaye consults other dentist when I have an unusual situation. I am always aware that all of his patients are an important part of his dental family."
"Dr. Shaye hired wonderful girls to work for him. I always look forward to my next appointment when I can go in and catch up on the news.”
